Is kindle the idea of Amazon or of discovery?

My question is simple. Is kindle the idea of Amazon or of discovery? I have heard about the news that Amazon violates a patent. According to Discovery, Amazon has violated the patent Discovery has registered in November 2007. First I thought that the new is just a publicity issue. I just want the conformation about the news is the news is correct or not, because if it is correct then why Amazon is launching a new version of kindle?

Re: Is kindle the idea of Amazon or of discovery?

Yes the news is correct up to some extent. Discovery has filed a patent violation against discovery, but not regarding the idea of manufacturing of kindle. Discovery has filed the patent against Amazon regarding the books Amazon is selling as an attachment to kindle. Spoke person of discovery has said that the kindle infringes Discovery's intellectual property rights.

Re: Kindle is the idea of Amazon

See I am not having any idea about why Amazon is launching the kindle 2. Well that should not be the matter of concern of Discovery. Yes the news is true that U.S. multimedia firm Discovery Communications filed a patent violation lawsuit against Amazon. Discovery has filled this patent over, and not against the Amazon's popular E-book reader kindle. Till now Amazon has not replied to prevent him from this question.

Re: Discovery has no problem with the launch of Amazon's Kindle 2

Amazon has launched the new version of kindle which is name as Kindle 2. With many important features such as: Kindle has 2 Giga bytes of memory which means Kindle 2 can hold more than 1,500 books compared to 200 books for original. US multimedia firm Discovery Communications does not want to stop the sale of Amazon’s Kindle. Rather Discovery is saying that US multimedia firm Discovery Communications has 1.5 million subscribers to its Discovery Network and Animal Planet, among other channels and Discovery just want to collect compensation and royalties.

Re: Discovery just wants to protect their assets.

Discovery's general counsel, Joseph LaSala, Jr has that "Legal action is not something Discovery takes lightly". Kindle 2 and Kindle are the admirable contented delivery systems. US multimedia firm Discovery Communications believes that Kindle 2 and Kindle infringe with Discovery’s Intellectual property rights. US multimedia firm Discovery Communications just wants the fair compensation for the damage is done to Discovery with the launch of Kindle 2 and Kindle. Discovery’s spoke person has said that their companies has produced significant intellectual property material goods for their shareholders, and just want to defend their assets.
