Need suggestion to buy Dell 2209WA monitor

I have decided to take the flat panel display by replacing my CRT monitor, and for that i have decided to go for Dell 2209WA 22″ LCD monitor, i have little information about this monitor, but still i just wanted to have second opinion before purchasing this monitor. So please suggest me some good features and any other important information about this monitor.

I will tell you about the picture quality of Dell 2209WA, the su***xels on the S1910 are not rectangular. Their shape looks a bit like this: “>”. On the other hand, the Dell 2209WA has rectangular su***xels, which are better suited for the su***xel rendering used by ClearType.The monitors simplistic and elegant design is very likable, and the stand has proven to be very convenient as it can lower the display to just over 4cm above the surface the stand is on.

Dell 2209WA is the best widescreen monitor in its price range on the market, and, is of the top-end IPS spec. The color reproduction of dell 2209WA is also one the appealing feature, when we do Side-by-side comparison with the Eizo S1910 shows that the Dell 2209WA displays slightly less saturated reds. The subjective color quality when viewing photographs in full-screen mode can only be described as very good. Excellent picture quality and colour reproduction,no banding or other issues I can detect. Especially good for editing photo's,DVD playback etc. due to IPS panel.MS flightx looks great no lag problems.

Pro's

1. Overall Superb Picture Quality
2. Viewing angles a TN can only dream of.
3. IPS in TN price range
4. Versatile well constructed Stand + Wall mount compatible
5. Input lag on par with good TN panels.

Con's

1. At its best resolution (1680 x 1050) the refresh rate is only 60Hz and not 75Hz as expected.
2. Also, factory settings are miles too bright, but then all flat-panels come out of the box like that these days. If you can, use some calibration software (e.g. Eye-One Display) to get everything spot-on and make the most of this screen's superior colour fidelity.
