Motorola takes the wrap off its FR series with the inclusion of rugged and compact FR68 and FR6000 mobile computers. Designed to enhance productivity of small, medium and large enterprises, this series can be operated in a range of local languages.

Moto FR68 and FR6000 will be useful for folks working in logistics, health care, retail or public utilities, as they’ll increase the work efficiency.Both handsets are quite big, they support 3.5G connectivity and feature a GPS receiver, Bluetooth, IrDA, WiFi and a Marvell XScale PXA312 624 MHz processor.
The new Moto devices also pack QVGA screens (320 x 240 pixels) and a 3.2 megapixels camera with OCR support. Extra goodies are included, like the free maintenance services, offered by Motorola for these new devices through the year. Something tells me that they’ll get damaged quite often, specially if they’re used in a heavy line of work.The Motorola FR68 and FR6000 phones also feature Bluetooth, 1D bar code scanner, 3G wireless WAN (WWAN), wireless LAN (WLAN), wireless PAN (WPAN) and IrDA connectivity. The Motorola FR68 features a high resolution 3.2 mega pixel auto-focus color camera and an optical character recognition.
The FR68 and FR6000 will be available through local Motorola PartnerSelect members. The two devices are expected to be priced between $1400 (Approx Rs 70,000) - $2000 (1,00,000).
