Can I overclock Phenom II X4 980 at 3.7 GHz on K9A2 Platinum V1 motherboard

I have tried to research this online as the X4 980 has only been a month. MSI website says that this particular prop up the 3.2 GHz Phenom X4 II 965, which in theory is a great subject, with two 125W TDP processors. I want to overclock this processor to 3.7 GHz, if possible. But it is not achievable with me. The motive I want the utmost handy speed file due to a baffling system instability does not consent me to overclock the CPU (through the multiplier cell of the BIOS menu - up to 2.8 GHz, accidents so Instant Prime95), and the SB600 does not allow the FSB to 200MHz to go further.

I had this before, but I went with my Gigabyte and not just because of my budget (which was poor at that time). However, the board is believed to be one of the 790FX boards while overclocking, so I think it's just the CPU. My advice also has the SB-600 and I OC'd my Athlon 5000 + BE does not increase the multiplier of the base (FSB) and has just under 3.2GHz. The wavering could be that the CPU desires more voltage, not adjusting the RAM settings, or if you lessen the HT link multiplier.

I should also add that overclocking a Phenom II SE is different from overclocking an Athlon X2 BE. With the Athlon, the speed of RAM is determined by a divider that segregate the CPU speed by a number to get the speed of RAM. Hoist the multiplier may change the speed of the RAM to the times set in the RAM may be the cause of flux. The Phenom, the speed of the memory controller multiplies the base speed (FSB though not a FSB), which amplify the multiplier does not automatically change the speed of RAM. However it is best to lower the HT link on Phenom and when overclocking, merely as of the stability and the HT link is the last thing that affect performance.

Here there are several things which you necessitate to attempt. For getting such a higher clocking speed you need appropriate RAM memory on your system. I urge that at least there should be 4 GB of RAM, that to it must be a single chip RAM. Also when you need such a high clocker then you should also have a better PSU which is capable of supplying enough power. So if you include such a thing then perhaps you can make a overclock to that frequency.
