Need help with MSI K9A2 Platinum; Win 7 64 bit & RAID

XP Pro 64 bit I could never get a RAID 0 set up and read a bit online and it seems that nobody likes to use because it is buggy. So I buy win 7 64 bit and to set the raid and now I want to throw this point of sale through the window. I started today with entering the BIOS and set then restart RAID.
Pressing Ctrl F to enter the basic configuration and let me in sometimes and sometimes not could not do anything to work. Then I hooked the HD ports 5 and 6 and I was finally able to enter and create the array, 128kb selected for the block band, quick start. Turn off and was able to get to where the windows will load, but win7 not see my HD. Tried several times and now when I go and try to restore the array it will not let me change the block size range (16kb). I decided to resign and just created an HD Win7 and continue the life I've had two BSOD's trying to do that! Anyone have any suggestions?

See there are situations where people have good memory of RAM but not with one stick but unfortunately 2 sticks. So this may happen it is quite obvious. 2 sticks such as 1 x 8 GB? 2 x 4 GB? 4 x 2 GB? Thus if anyone has installed more than 2 sticks than I would suggest those people including you set the memory speed to 800mhz, then try again. I hope this will definitely help you. All the best!

Well, I would prefer that you download the zip file on the USB stick, or try to burn to a blank CD. At the point when Windows asks for installation drive, as shown no disk, click "Load Driver" and then select the direction of the drivers you downloaded. If you are not using RAID and just use a single unit, then return to the BIOS and configure the SATA controller mode back to [IDE].

W7 drivers and the promise is found in the MSI K9A2 Platinum page v1 product, but as Warner suggests that it can take a look at Promise Fast Track TX4650, drivers are not compatible with the promise of this motherboard. So promise.com -> Download Center-> Legacy Products -> Fast Trak TX 4650. The board works very well on the way IDE drives connected to ports on W7 SB 600, which worked for me for version 2 of the card. Try software RAID in W7, if possible, as can be done in XP. After ruling out memory problems some of the driver’s test and maintain data backup.

Yes this is true. You know that promise has no official support for Windows 7 X64 at all. Thus I would always prefer to everyone to install windows normally and always keep it simple. Always keep minimum hardware and the minimum requirements for your system. Also use trusted pieces. If you follow these rules then these problem will never occur. Hope you understand what I mean to say. All the best!

I downloaded the RAID driver on the MSI website which is extracted in a USB flash drive, it worked for me, but I'm also using Vista 64, but in a few days I'll go to Windows 7, I followed the instructions of the controller MSI download page. Also I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I downloaded the 64-bit SATA RAID controller’s promise of K9A1 platinum version 1.0, page MSI Vista 32 driver. There is also a 64-bit driver for Vista does not. This driver does not officially support 64-bit W7, but it works!
