    Overclock Core 2 Duo E4300

    Hello,
I have a little problem with my processor INTEL Core 2 Duo [email protected], I run CPU-Z and I saw the frequency of the processor which is a 1.31Ghz is there a serious problem ?
But I also wanted to know if it was possible to the OC I have seen some of those who avail of past 1.8Ghz a 3.42Ghz'' It is impressive. But I do not know how to do so if you could help me.

    My Pc configuration below:
    Intel Core 2 Duo E4300, 1800 MHz (9 x 200)
    BIOS version 5.08
Video Card Sapphire Radeon X1650 Pro
    Chipset motherboard Intel Lakeport-G i945G
Just a reply to say thank you for these links and posts I have a lot to read and learn now!

For your processor at 1.31 GHz and that and there is a normal function that is called EIST, which allows for reduced frequency and vCore processor when it is not so used to the games or software heavy. At these same my E2180 overclock @ 3.10 Ghz only runs at 1.88 Ghz if I do anything heavy.

Change motherboard for overclock but after so must be changed several things and most important for a good overclock is power!!

power supplies in HP are often noname therefore, overclock strains with stable it will need a real power supply brand Fortron, Cooler Master. Avoid especially LC Power, the Mad X and other stuff that are just power supply for the fire your PC.

To his memory will be perfect for your Overclock after the power supply 600 watts for you to serve you any way a 500 will be ideal if you want a days change your graphics card you will have no problem with a 500 Watts.

and for the motherboard which I think you need a mATX for coming into your shell Hp (well if you change takes ATX case) otherwise, for a micro ATX, you could you take a GA-G33M-DS2R.

the motherboard that I have with her you can make the raid 0,1,5 and 10 and I believe it and it very scalable and compatible with the processors in 45 nm Intel QuadCore compatible and also (For it is the 45nm Pentium E5000 series, Core2 Duo E8000 series and Core2Quad Q9000 series and I probably forget .......)

And we must say you just climbed very high Overclock with your processor I think you may be largely to 3.2 Ghz without a problem.
