When finally I just required to installed a ununtu 9.10 desktop amd64 on the Lenovo d20. The trick to create it to boot as usually that it is to install on a disk and it is connected to an ACHI port for optional drives (sdb) while the complete system is too installed on a disk to connect to a Marvell port (sda). So it looks like the boot loader and its doesn’t work with any disks that connected to Marvell ports.

While a prompt will be inserted to your driver disk into and press ok so as you need to continue just insert the update driver from the disk floppy drive into a floppy and after then just okk. So if the drivers disk is useable that will show an msg that the reading driver disk .Loading mv64xx driver...."if that can able read in it. If it read driver successfully window "More Driver Disks?" will pop up, Choose "No". Now, mv64xx Linux driver is loaded, and need to pull out the driver disk floppy from the drive and precede installation.

I just wait and tried for the installing but when my hard disk is not recognized at all I had just see the better luck trying for the beta test version of the fedora16 and it recognized the RAIDed drive, and go ahead with the installation - only to fail to install the boot loader.I've only looked into this a little, but it appears the boot loader is confused by the RAIDed drive, and can't figure out the Linux device relates to the BIOS device; if so I'll report here.

When I can able to update that i have successfully install on fedora 16 betas, with a little bits of hacking so the issue is to be seems that whether the partitions of the Raided based on their uuid in the device mapper but the problem is that those uuid aren’t setup the ways of the experts so I am setting them accordingly during the installation it like a fool that the boots loader is working.

consoles so you only have a prompt to enter commands that use around .The earliest control sets and the uuid for the whole set, and the next sets it for the first partition that was enough to get it installed and functioning for me, your mileage may be vary and be careful that this sort of thing might be that will be clean your hard disks.
