Unix Folders appeared after installing Leopard

I had recently installed Snow Leopard on Macbook Pro. The operating system works file but as I was just looking out in the hard drive of my Macbook I found some Unix file structured. I thing there is no need of this. After searching for similar in my friends pc I found that this might be some hidden file which are exposed and there is a need of re-hide them. Does anyone has fix this issue.

In my case I too found a Unix file structure in my system. I performed a clean installation back again assuming that those folders might disappear. But nothing works out here. The hard drive is still showing some folders which are confusing the installer program. I had renamed by hard drive and re-installed all things back again. Till now I had not got any particular issue which feels that his might be okay.

I had re-installed my operating system a dozen time to fix this issue. At the end I got some tons of solutions from Applecare Tech which does not worked. Finally as mentioned above I had changed the name of my hard drive and then re-installed back again. After checkout all the things I found that the problem is solved. Try to rename the hard drive as Macintosh HD. This is due to bad disc.

Same issue here. But I had no tried renaming my hard drive and then re-installed all things back again. I will try this out and hope that this might work. I am going to use a disk utility tool first to wipe my data out completely and then try back again to see weather the issue is solved or not. But I still worry out that this might be the only way to fix the issue. Re-installation will wipe my data out.

I had upgraded my operating system version immediately after finding the issue in my drive. This junk folders showed that there can be some problem in the hard drive related to boot partition. I might depend on Apple much to fix this bugs. This does not seems like a very big problem. After upgrade this folders are still there and I am now working with them since long time.

I think the XCode tool can solve your issue. It is a developer tool for mac which offers you a nice work flow for editing source. You can also build and compile tools in some steps in graphical mode. The tool offers you some basic task by which you can figure out the working of those folders. You also test devices in that and create your own iPhone apps.
