    If you are using firefox then you have to use Adblock Plus 1.1.3. Adblock Plus allows you to regain control of the internet and view the web the way you want to. The add-on is supported by over forty filter subscriptions in dozens of languages which automatically configure it for purposes ranging from removing online advertising to blocking all known malware domains. Adblock Plus also allows you to customize your filters with the assistance of a variety of useful features, including a context option for images, a block tab for Flash and Java objects, and a list of blockable items to remove scripts and stylesheets.

    You have to use Flashblock 1.5.13 if you are using Firefox. Flashblock is an extension for the Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks ALL Flash content from loading. It then leaves placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to download and then view the Flash content.

    Flashblock currently blocks the following content types:
    * Macromedia Flash
    * Macromedia Shockwave
    * Macromedia Authorware

    As per my knowledeg you have to use Safari AdBlocker.
    # Safari AdBlocker is the only 64-bit ad blocker built for Mac OS X 10.5+ to integrate directly into Safari, for minimum disruption to your browsing experience
    # Safari AdBlocker supports the use of AdBlock Plus subscriptions (url's with the prefix "abp:") - and will be updated automatically, each week

    You have to use Safari AdBlock. Safari AdBlock blocks ads in Safari.
    It is free of charge and open source (GPL license).
    It is easy to use: it just works out of the box!
