Audio issues in Windows 7 64 bit on Macbook Pro

Hello friends, I have a Macbook Pro which is running on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system. I have used Bootcamp utility to create a partition and then installed Windows 7 64 bit operating system on the Macbook Pro. I am facing some Audio Issues in Windows 7 64bit on Macbook Pro. The sound of the system comes and goes at regular interval of times. Also there is some humming sound coming from the Speakers of the Macbook. If anybody is facing the same problems while using Window 7 on Macbook then please share some information about the same.

I am also facing the same problem with my Macbook which is also running on Windows 7 64bit operating system. The sound goes in between and then comes back after sometime. This happens at regular interval of time. I first thought it was a hardware issue but after searching for the solutions online I found out that I am not the only one who is facing the problem. So if anybody has a solution to the above mentioned problem then let us know.

Probably the Windows operating system must not be installed properly on your Macbook pro. There are many problems faced while installing the Windows operating system on the Mac system using bootcamp utility. Some times the partition created by the bootcamp is not detected by the system or the whole hard disk is recognized as the partition for the windows installation. I would suggest you to delete the partition and then create the partition again to install the Windows operating system on the Macbook Pro. Once the windows is installed again there would not be any problems with the sound of the Macbook.

Humming sound from the Speakers suggest that the speaker has gone bad. Humming sound only comes from the speakers when the speakers are not able to recreate the sound which the system demands. This happens only when the speakers have gone bad. Get the speakers of the Macbook checked by some professional technician. The best solution would be to take the Macbook to the Authorised Apple Service center and get the Macbook checked. Once the Macbook is checked, the technicians will tell the exact problem with the Macbook. If the Macbook is under Apple care then you will not charged for the services.

Check if the Installed audio drivers on the Macbook are working properly or not. If the drivers are not installed properly, the device related to it will not work properly as the drivers are the basic software which control the device. To check if the Drivers are properly installed and the device is working properly, right click on My computer and select Manage. Now select Device Manager from the List populated on the Left side. Now locate and click on the Sound drivers and check if there are any caution or question mark signs. If there are any caution signs, then troubleshoot the problem. Follow the onscreen steps and complete the procedure. You can also try to update the drivers if required.

A 64 bit operating system need appropriate drivers to be installed. Download the latest sound drivers for the model of the sound card you are using and which are supported by the Windows 64bit version. Once this drivers are installed, there should be no problems with the Audio of the System. If installing the new version of the drivers does not work, then I think you will have to update the Windows installation on your system. Windows 7 had many problems with driver and sound compatibility which were later solved in patches released. Update the Windows installation if required and see if the problem is solved.
