Hi, you are getting the error as Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Verify that the installation sources are accessible, and restart the installation. From this error message I think that the problem you are getting is due to the problem of your installation DVD. I think you have not burnt it in right way due to which you are getting this error. So, just make sure that you are using the DVD which is working well. And try again.

Hi, I suppose that you had downloaded the Windows 7 iso file from the microsoft and then you have burnt that DVD and now you are trying to install the Windows 7 on your computer. So, if you have done so, again burn that DVD, but this time with the low speed and try to install it. I think you will able to solve the problem by doing so. So, just try to do this and if still you are getting the same problem then just make sure that your all the peripherals are connected properly or not.

Hi, the problem you are getting about the Error code: 0xE0000100 and error message "Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Verify that the installation sources are accessible, and restart the installation." is due to improper connections of your peripheral devices of the computer. As one time I was also getting the same problem, but when I remove all the devices and then again reconnect it, I come to know that my problem has been resolved. So, just make use of the same as me. And I think you also able to solve the same problem.

If you are planning to install your Win 7 in your D drive and if you have one more available partition of size(7Gb), then the best way is to extract all the files from the iso into a new directory into this new 7Gb partition.

There is no need to keep the Win7 source files in a DVD or Flash drive. I have tried all possible way of installing Win7. Keeping the source files in a available HDD paritition is the best way.

Note: See to that the HDD partition is in the same physical drive as your C or D drive where you plan to install your Win7 OS.

    Best way:
C drive: Your XP or Vista
    D drive: Your Win 7
    E drive: Win7 source files
