    angry Install Vista Gps Driver

Still trying to instal the GPS for Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006.

When I take the current driver downlooad for this GPS (GPS500) and open it, it appears to be doing something but it does not show where it goes nor gives me the choice of where to install it. After doing a SEARCH, however, I found it in Windows/System32 DRIVERS but still in it's original, unopened APPLICATION (.EXE) format!

Before you start, check whether you installed a Standard version of the program over a version that includes GPS. For example, you installed Streets and Trips 2009 Standard (does not include GPS) over Streets and Trips 2007 (includes GPS). This kind of installation removes any GPS drivers that were installed because the Standard version does not include GPS drivers.

Go to start, select programs, Click on Accessories, then click Run... [Windows XP] Click Start, then click Run...There you need to Specify setup_x86.exe or setup_x64.exe with the full path name where you extracted the package in the location were you need to be, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\GPS\setup_x86.exe (Windows Vista 32-bit/XP) C:\DRIVERS\WIN\GPS\setup_x64.exe (Windows Vista 64-bit), Instructions will be available on your screen, follow it and complete the installation.
