Gps Driver Install

o/s Vista Home Premium Sp1 64 Bit

I've installed Microsoft Streets & Trips 2006 with a Paros GSP500 but the GPS driver won't install. After trying a number of times I went to the GPS site and downloaded a more current driver but this installs BUT WON'T OPEN! No matter where I install it...to the program, System32 Drivers, etc. it shows as an unopened .exe installer file. As well there's not even a USB installation that refers to this GPS driver.

Have you tried disabling any types of firewalls and/or anti-virus programs? Have you tried connection the GPS receiver to a different port?
