Iastor.sys Blue Screen in Vista

I am new to the forum and of course like many others, I have a problem with blue screen! For about 3 weeks of blue screens appear anytime! Initially I thought the problem was my screen saver (very heavy in resources), because ,Tonight my freinds was working on WORD and vlan,then immediatly a blue screen with the code 0x00008086. and Iastor.sys Blue Screen Error Appear on my Screen

this is my Config

• DELL PC 8400
• P4 HT 3.4
• XP family
• 1GB RAM DDR2
• PCIexpress ATI 300se
• Maxtor SATA HDD 160 and 200GB

I have the same problem ... it has Something to do with "Intel Matrix Storage Manager? and vista advise me to download the update from the intel on this site link http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

iaStor.sys Must be a driver Sata. Not sure but 100% verified. Check your PC and Update the driver , To get into safe mode it has to load the iastor.sys file and same goes for recovery console becuse the iastor.sys seems to be the driver file for the intel matrix which connects the hard drives.

Go into the BIOS and setting and Set the SATA mode to IDE or SATA compatible. after that try to disconnect all cables connected to your computer and reboot using F8 safe mode , You can look at the known compaibility issues for the application accelerator on Intels site.
