Hi,

it is a feature in vista and windows 7....havn't u heard of the term ready boost ?
see this Use ReadyBoost to optimize and accelerate Windows Vista and Download ReadyBoost for Windows XP enjoy
You cannot add a pen drive to XP or Vista and expect it to work like normal RAM. Even the 'readyboost' option in Vista only operates as disk caching and is of limited use anyway.
The only solution is to add more physical ram to your motherboard.
You can't on an XP base computer, but on a computer running Vista when you first plug in the USB stick it will ask you what to do just chose to use as expanded memory.
Just plug in the pendrive and choose VistaBoost. But provided that your pendrive got the requirement speed which is need in Windows Vista
