- Windows Vista introduces a new technology called ReadyBoost. It exploits the qualities of the new flash memory keys USB 2.0. The memory of the key is used as an extension memory dedicated to the optimization of the system.
- Where such a key is inserted into a USB port, Vista asks whether you want to use as accelerator. It is therefore imperative that performance in reading and writing the key is sufficient. Better to opt for a key brand or key stamped "ReadyBoost compatible."
- Once the option ReadyBoost enabled, the user is free to specify the amount of space the key to reserve for ReadyBoost.
- For the acceleration system is really sensitive, it is advisable to use keys 1GB or 2GB and dedicate the entire space for storage of the key ReadyBoost
