Big issue after upgrading to Vista Ultimate

I upgraded my XP MCE desktop to Vista Ultimate this morning and now that it finished I am having a horrific, stomach turning problem.
Vista boots normally and goes to the welcome screen, but when I click on my user and put in my password, it fades to a classic window on a pale blue background, the window is the documents window. I managed myself to the control panel where I got the Aero theme back, but I still have no recycle bin or taskbar.
What do I do??!!

Why did you upgrade to windows vista? And are you sure that it is a genuine copy or some other modded copy?

Because I used a demo copy in an Office Depot, liked it a LOT, bought Ultimate, installed it there, and I got the ^ issue. But I did a clean install and now it's fine. I didn't care about anything on that comp anyway. And Media Center was screwed up in my MC edition, and I wanted to link it to my Xbox 360.
