is Microsoft office 97 compatible with windows vista?

Just need a confirmation about Office 97 compatibility. I just bought a new Windows Vista based laptop that came with pre-loaded Office 2007 Trail. But as I have a Office 97 CD with product key I wanted to know whether it will work if I install it on Vista ?

I am using only Publisher 97 on my Vista computer. Note, it is only Publisher 97 and not the entire office suite. Though it is working fine without problem I still have doubt about other Office 97 apps. As it is 11 years old product there might be various security issues that cannot be fixed in Vista that is the latest one.

So better don’t got for it. Use Trail for 60 days and buy Office 2007.
