How to remove Virus WIN HDD/HDD FRAGMENTER

Hello, last year I have purchased the new branded personal computer. The configuration of the personal computer is to be Intel core 2 Duo processor with 4GB DDR2 RAM and 500GB Hard disk drive. Last month I have connect the computer with the Internet and successfully use the internet on the computer but the last week there is some problem occurred in the computer. Might be the hard disk is corrupt by the WIN HDD/HDD FRAGMENTER virus. I need to clean this virus into my computer and the data present in the HDD will not be lot at any movement.

Then might be at the time of installation the WIN HDD/HDD FRAGMENTER virus came in the computer. After that whenever I have try to start the computer then it do not allow to operate the computer very well. It shows the error like boot sector damaged or Defragmentation is required. Then for solving this problem I have format the C: drive and freshly install the win XP OS onto it. Immediately after that I install the antivirus and scan the computer. It will clean this virus.

Finally I have format the whole system using the bootable CD and install the fresh windows XP operating system.
