    WRT54G AP Isolation

I presently purchased a brand pristine latest WRT54G to put in to our Classes network to provide wireless internet. However while I twist AP Isolation on, I can still connect to further devices on the network wirelessly. This is the existing setup:
    Code:
192.168.1.107 - Major router, release wireless, AP on
192.168.1.108 - Printer, Static IP, plugged into 192.168.1.109
192.168.1.109 - Protected wireless, plugged into 192.168.1.107, AP off
192.168.1.110 - Protected wireless, plugged into 192.168.1.109 AP off
    • Anybody on the protected wireless wants access to the printer and additional computers.
    • Anybody on the open wireless can just access the internet.
    • I am not certain if I amend the Printer IP that I would be able to get it to work over on every computer. So I have reserved it this way. I really don't know if the AP Isolation is not working, or if I am forgetting something? Or any other problem or mistakes are there?

Maybe it is working, but does not do what you require. AP Isolation is an awful period and does not actually illustrate what it does. It should be called: wireless client isolation. It just isolates wireless clients from every extra. It does not separate or isolate wireless clients from wired clients, or wired clients from every extra.

This makes no intellect at all. Just tell me one thing how many routers you are utilizing? Why do you have the similar IP address in the left side and right side? Attempt to give slight additional information on how all things are connected, as in modem to WAN of router, LAN of router to and so on. AP isolation just splits the wireless LAN from the wired LAN of that router. If you are utilizing numerous routers, which I believe you are, after that depending on how you connect them, the wireless clients may have access to your wired LAN. Once more, you have to be a pretty additional accurate in the setup.

I also have the similar issue and I have 3 routers, one for an open connection, second for a protected connection. Both are plugged into one, but one on every side of the building. I figured out how to do what I required. I could not get it to work because I just not remember to switch the cat5 from the LAN port to the WAN port. This is what I just done:
    1. 192.168.1.121: WRT54G v8, plugged into cable modem and through open wireless, DHCP, and all that basically everything is default.
    2. 192.168.2.122: WRT54G v5, plugged into 192.168.1.121 in the WAN port, and situate as a Gateway with a divided DHCP which is secured wireless
    3. 192.168.2.123 - WRT54G v4, plugged into 192.168.2.121 in the LAN port, situate as a router with no DHCP which is secured wireless

The WRT54G v8 still did not do AP Isolation. I could access wired LAN from the wireless LAN. Here the original trouble is still there.

However I know about this or how much I have knowledge about this make sure whether the wireless computers can see every other or not? Because, I suppose that later than the AP isolation is enabled, every of the wireless customer will be in its individual virtual network and will not be able to observe each other. As a result, the wired can still observe the wireless and vice versa this is where you are accurate or perfect.
