    VPN setup with D-Link 824VUP

    Hello
I have a cable vision service at my home, having a VPN connection on my home network router, not giving any type of problem with the connectivity (With the Cisco client). Also having the Windows server exchange 2007 with the router. Having DELL computer with the Windows XP operating system. Both the PPTP and the L2TP servers are using in my router, the problem i8s if I going to use PPTP in my computer, the whole computer will be hang for a minute. It appears with a message for verifying the user-name and the password. Any idea to how can I fix the issue?

With the build-in VPN connection with the Windows XP, you can easily create the connection with the network(PPTP). I suggest you on the VPN connection web-site you will got the set up file for the PPTP and the L2TP server. You can also use the virtual IP sub-net connection for the PPTP or the L2TP server connection. If there is anyone who using the D-Link, that will not allow to create the sub-net connection on the LAN.

Using the router DI-824VUP, it really works great with the VPN connection. It generally use the four ways to using in the VPN connectivity. For that you have to insert the Full static of the VPN connection panel, point to point, there you will got the main VPN set up utility. Remember that, while you are using this one for the telecommunication through the internet, the IP s of both the ends will be entered properly for the tunnel establishment.

With the Dynamic VPN connection, only the IP address of the network router, which is familiar for both the ends of the network. All the set up of the Windows XP which controlled for the IP Sec application. The static public IP address of the end point are configured with the Windows XP operating system. To use the PPTP and thenL3TP server you need to create the VPN client connection with the operating system(XP).

I have a computer and tried to manage the VPN connection, but unable to make the connection. The network is not seen by me. I think the problem is seems to be for the VPN connection, the IP address of the router. All the internal networks are used to configure with the VPN server, it may take a while. Is there anyone who can provide me the setting or any idea about the connection with the VPN?

I think if you will create the PPTP tunnel connection between the two routers then you, the router which is used for the connectivity should be the MAC address of the network and the other one that which is in Remote connection is not. The remote router is using the segment of the Layer 2, that’s why it is it is not able to watch the MAC address of the router. In that case the VPN connection will use a pix to connect with the VPN connector.

After a long time, I am now able to watch the devices on the LAN connectivity. It is the remote client VPN connectivity software while it turns on. After that I got a new "Send all network traffic over VPN connection". As per my knowledge this will only forwards the affected packets on the network not the IP address like the browsing history which is done from the remote area, and not send through the tunnel of the VPN. Thank you every one for the valuable posts.
