The first step is to select the preference "Wi - Fi " in " Settings> Wi - Fi " (Figure 3.9) or " Settings> General > Network > Wi - Fi " (Figure 3.10) . Then , select Wi - Fi positioning the pusher 1. This enables the wireless network ( you can disable at any time to save your batteries : this mode of communication is voracious energy) . The system immediately begins searching for an available network, and offers the name of your home network (and perhaps some others that you did not suspect the existence, especially if you live in a building).

Your iPad that must request the router a network address dynamically if you know that is the case ( DHCP tab , where you can change the DNS , the domain of research and 'client identifier ) left to reapply in a new ( button to renew the lease " ) . If instead your router waits for a specific IP address from your iPad will enter it in the tab "Static ", without forgetting the subnet mask (usually 255.255.255.0 is nicely ) . of the router , the DNS (Domain Name Server) and voila . The tab BootP is reserved for companies , we will throw a veil over. Remains to be configured for a certain " HTTP proxy " (roughly, a specialized server that will serve as an intermediary for all your Internet transactions ) . We will leave this to the " geeks "in search of thrills , or business professionals .
