Infected by Https Tidserv Request 2

The McAfee antivirus that I am using in my system that is running Windows XP is alerting me from a couple of days that my computer is at a very high risk. When, I checked out the possible threats, I found out that the system is infected by Https Tidserv Request 2. I have heard the name of this infection for the first time. Moreover, the unusual problem is that I do not know why the infection is not being removed by the antivirus. I require proper assistance for fixing this situation.

Your system has become a victim of the TDL3 rootkit. The Https Tidserv Request 2 actually belongs to that family. I dont think that any antivirus or security tool can be used to eradicate the same. So, the only technique that can help you is to format the system and install a fresh copy of the operating system that you are using. If you do not format and let the infection to persist in your computer, then it may lead to a system crash.

According to me, formatting is not a recommended method that must be used in the situations like where the computer is infected by Https Tidserv Request 2. It will be better if you enable a system restore. This method is very much similar to formatting, but there is a vast difference. In formatting, you have to install a totally new OS. But, in system restore, the same operating system is cleaned up completely from all the infections. You have to restore the system to the factory settings, so that all the applications and programs installed in your system will be removed permanently. Hence, your computer will become as good as new.

My suggestion for fixing the situation that the system is infected by Https Tidserv Request 2 is to install Avast antivirus. The specialty of this antivirus is that it has the feature of boot scanning. When the system is scanned with the help of this method, the infections can be removed easily, since the scan takes place before the startup of the operating system.

As recommended in one of the above replies, I have boot scan the system with the help of the Avast antivirus. I was surprised to find out that there were many threats in my system. Well, it seems that my system is no more infected by Https Tidserv Request 2 because it is behaving normal, not weirdly as before the scan.
