    apvxdwin.exe uses 99% of CPU

I am running with windows xp and installed the Panda IS 2010 for security reason but it is effecting my entire windows performance and system has been slow. I checked for performance reason in task manager and got a files placed in the list as apvxdwin.exe which is taking 99% of the CPU space.

I don't have any option except Uninstallation of this software, You all have any idea something other than removing from system because I don't want to remove it ...

    Any ideas?

APVXDWIN.EXE is most likely installed by yourself on your computer system. The proper storage destination of this particular exe files is as follows :

It would be located on your hard drive with : "C:\Program Files\Panda Software\Panda Platinum 2005 Internet Security\APVXDWIN.EXE"

This is known as the Panda anti-virus software which is the segment of the Panda anti-virus software. This would be listed in your system startup if you have installed the Panda anti-virus program. APVXDWIN.EXE is considered safe and is not treated as a virus or spyware related.

It is using CPU when you start the scanning of the system or what, if it is taking space during scanning then no need to worry about that.

If it is not showing when during scanning procedure then you need to change the environment of the windows means you need to boot your system and check the CPU space and disable unnecessary processes related to antivirus.

Have you tried for reinstallation of the antivirus software, if you didn't tried it then you need to test this method also can be a perfect solution of your problem. Send back the testing result evaluated after reinstallation , The same CPU space is being used or something has changed within the task manager.

As got something inside your computer system and someone told earlier that the process automatically gets starts during system startup.

You can disable the service from the startup processes and choose one of then that you need to stop or disable. You can do it from the RUN after clicking on start menu and then type msconfig.msc and disable the service or process that is preventing the performance of the system..
