Need to remove HelpAssistant Virus

I am using a dell inspiron laptop installed with windows 7 i would like to remove this HelpAssistant virus from my system since it has affected my systems performance very badly. Since it has started taking around 15 minutes to boot itself. It also get restarted at any time which really is troublesome. Any help would be appreciated.

The Microsoft security essential will definitely help you in this matter it is available freely if you want you can download it from the official microsoft website. Remember to update the virus definition before scanning your system.
