    How to take regular backups

For most people, saving is something at once painful and boring: difficult to choose long to configure, it generally works in the background and provides no tangible benefit. Until a hard drive fails, when suddenly faced a series of questions and what do I do now. I don't want to put myself in the same situation. I had faced this before and spended money on solutions. What you consider for this a software or a dedicated person who is responsible for the data security.

Re: How to take regular backups

In terms of backup, the first question that usually arises is that of the "target", that is to say, the medium used. Although the term "backup" is still, to some extent associated with bandages and complications they entail, it is possible to use any storage media. The tape drives were the most common carriers in the 80s and 90s and are still used today, but especially business. The public generally prefers the optical disk drives and network drives due to the significant decrease in the cost per gigabyte experienced by these solutions in recent years. So if you keep your data in a usb then you can move it easily anywhere.

In the new year tape backup is probably the worst choice for individuals, since it requires proprietary hardware and software tools, which means that he must first restore a working system before you can access its data. Optical discs (DVD and Blu-ray discs, etc.), for their part, carriers are relatively adapted to the backup: write speeds are adequate, their price ranges from low to acceptable DVD for BD-R and release management is automatic in that the write-once discs are no longer editable once closed. I still await for more better solutions.

It is however the hard drives that have public support because of their ease of use and price became almost ridiculous, not to mention the fact that since all computers "talk" USB (they operate under Windows, OS X, Linux or other), a portable hard drive connected by USB 2.0 is probably what is more flexible and more universal in terms of storage / backup. So here the solution is to get a good third party software for your data security and keep a track on it. This is time consuming but safe.

It is therefore imperative to perform its backups on multiple disks or multiple storage devices. Now that we have clarified this point (essential), we can peacefully discuss some options that we believe are the backup solutions best suited to individuals today. Take a portable hard drive and good sound quality, Simple Tough 500 GB Hitachi, and we decided to compare three backup software: Acronis True Image (which offers a range of services particularly wide range of imaging the total management system), Rebit Backup and Backup utility built into Windows 7. Use them. There some easy steps.

The three programs above have one thing in common, they all can use any medium as a target, including our portable hard drive Hitachi. Some of them are easily available. And if you are running a small network they does not need to spend extra amount on other solution. Just go for it and stay regular. Don't miss any day without backup and try to change your backup location after regular intervals. This is hectic but atleast you will get your valuable data instantly.
