    Norton Phishing Protection has encountered an internal error

    Hello , Please Help me Solve this problem with norton Antivirus after installing Norton Internet Security 2007 , I get this Error: "Phishing Protection has encountered an internal error , Can you Tell me how can i Solve problem Thanks in advance

    If you use Norton Internet Security and get this error that Phishing Protection is an internal application error has occurred. (3003, 220), you might need to remove Norton Internet Securityand reinstall it .

    Enable third party browser extensions

    • Launch Internet Explorer.
    • On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    • In the Advanced tab in the Browsing section, select Enable third party browser extensions
    • Click OK.
    • Quit Internet Explorer.

    If you use Norton Internet Security Online and get this error that Phishing Protection has encountred occurred an internal application error .. '(3003, 220)" message, please follow the following instructions:


    Remove Norton Internet Security
    • Step 1: Click the Windows [Start]> [Control Panel]
    • Step 2: In Control Panel, Choose Agg Remove option
    • Step 3: In the list of currently installed programs, select [Norton Internet Security (Symantec Corporation)]
    • Step 4: Then click the button [Remove] and then [Remove all]
    • Step 5: Read the following warning
    • Step 6: Now click on [More] and follow the instructions.
    • Step 7: In the dialog box [Internet Security has been successfully removed] click [Restart Windows now (recommended).]


      Note: Norton Internet Security Online will be completely removed when you restart your computer.
    • Step 8: After restarting your computer, click [Finish]




    Reinstall Norton Internet Security Online
    • Step 1: To reinstall the Norton software, click on the installer icon for the product.
    • Step 2: To start reinstallation double-click the installer icon and wait until the installation wizard will appear, this may happen for one to two minutes.
    • Step 3: Then click [Norton Internet Security install] and follow the instructions on the screen.
    • Step 4: If Spysweeper or some other spy software program on the file Nppbho.dll issues a warning, allow the installation of the file. This file is part of the phishing protection

    Hello if you Are Still Facing the issue then You Can Solve This Error By Following the Step Below

    Temporarily disable the protection of Symantec
    1. Open Norton Internet Security.
    2. In Norton Internet Security tab, click Settings.
    3. Click Auto-Protect, and then click Configure.
    4. In the left pane, under Advanced Options, click Miscellaneous.
    5. Under How to protect my product, uncheck Turn on protection for my Symantec product.
    6. Click OK.



    Download a file to add to registry (Download a file (DOWNLOAD NOW ))
    1. If Spysweeper or any other type of spy software issues a warning about this file, allow the installation of the file.
    2. In the dialog Download - Security Warning, click Save.
    3. Double-click NCO_BHO.reg, the file you just download and save.
    4. When the Registry Editor prompts you to confirm if you want to add this file to your registry, click Yes.



    Activate the protection of Symantec
    1. Open Norton Internet Security.
    2. In Norton Internet Security tab, click Settings.
    3. Click Auto-Protect, and then click Configure.
    4. In the left pane, under Advanced Options, click Miscellaneous.
    5. Under How to protect my product, select the Enable protection for my Symantec product.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Restart the computer.
