AMD Phenom II X6 system freezes while doing nothing

    Below are my system specifications:
    • CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Box
    • Motherboard: ASRock 890GX Extreme3, AM3
    • HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500GB
    • PSU: JERSEY Modular-Edition ATX CM-750-E85, l 750 Watt
    • Triple-Kit OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666

After installing Windows 7 and all additional programs as well as driver the system worked very well. But yet following a few days while I played Call of Duty; Black Ops and the game just get freeze and I can’t do anything other than restarting the computer. I haven’t done any kind of overclocking to this computer and don’t know what is wrong. The system is virus free and I am sure about it. Has anybody else had this problem?

It fairly seems to be like either the GPU issue otherwise the CPU related issue. AS you can say that you can play the game some time then it suddenly freezes. So for this issue most probably there is only one reason and that is high temperature. Either your CPU temperature otherwise the GPU temperature will go above the stable condition which is causing system to suspend its process and do nothing. It is usually a terrible issue which can causes the hardware or components to damage. Check the system temps while running game. If it hits above the normal then you might to mod your CPU case for better cooling.

I furthermore tried out to eliminate one of three memory sticks except there was the identical trouble. However I recognize it was ineffective, for the reason that it does not affair if I utilize 2 otherwise 3 of them. The foremost two will utilize the dual channel and the 3rd one not. Except even so I'll purchase a 4th one with the intention of complete the slots, thus all is installed correctly! Furthermore I will run the memory test to make sure that there is nothing wrong with RAM slots or sticks. The PSU seems to be fine. You don’t need to touch that.

I've detached my GeForce 7600 and utilized the committed graphics chip for the reason that the geForce is submissive cooled and becomes extremely hot. Therefore I thought that it might cause the trouble, for the reason that the video card is excessively considering my south bridge. And my south as well as north bridges are furthermore flaccid cooled, therefore together of them require room and an excellent air flow.

Pair of stuff you can carry out to assist this. Ensure that the memory is companionable with that motherboard by departing to the AsRock website and inspecting the compatibility catalog. Ensure that you furthermore obtained to the site and ensure you have the majority update chipset drivers designed for that motherboard installed. You can furthermore make sure and observe if you have the most up-to-date bios and installed it. Furthermore verify you timings, voltage as well as speed meant for your memory and situate the timings up inside the bios.

I have a power supply much similar to yours and i can't operate a 5850 on it the PC as it does the similar thing. I believe what your trouble is, is that you encompass abundance of watts except not sufficient amp on you rail in support of the power require to push that graphics card. You are running a PSU through 20 amp rails which might not be sufficient to thrust that video card and that’s why it's freezing. Therefore I think that you might require a PSU with higher amps for each rail.
