System freezes when inactive on Phenom II X6

I recently got the new components for my computer. It includes AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, hard disk, power supply unit and three OCZ DDR3 PC3 RAM chips. I have installed windows 7 operating system in my computer and have installed all the needed drivers as well as programs and the system was working fine. Just after I played game today then my system freeze and I have to restart the computer. I have noted the temperature of CPU and in idle state it is 28-32. And when I test 1 I found it each core went 41 and system freezes and in test 2 it shown 38 and again freezes. So I wanted to know why is this happening, is it normal.

You have mentioned like you are using three RAM chips on your motherboard. So I would like that you use only one chip for you motherboard. You should take only one single RAM chip of higher memory and then stick that in RAM module. So for this case you shall remove all other chips and use a single chip for your board. Also check for the power supply, as you have purchased a new one, so just check for it or replace it if found faulty.

It seems so that your system got freeze when you played any game. As games usually use the graphics so there would be some problem with it. If your board is having the graphic cards then remove it and then plug your display into onboard display port of the motherboard. Your computer would get turn on with this also and then try playing game on it and check whether the same problem still arrives again. I guess doing this would resolve your problem.

A couple of things you can do to solve the problem. Make sure the memory is compatible with the card by going to the ASRock website and check the compatibility list. Make sure you also came to the site and make sure you have the most updated chipset drivers for the installation directory. You can also check and see if you have the latest bios and install. In addition to checking the time, voltage and memory speed and setting time in the BIOS. You can see what times you need to set the download cpuz and control of the memory card.

I am having a companion who has an issue very similar to yours and cannot run a 5850 in that the computer does the same. I think what your problem is that you have a lot of watt amp but not enough on rail for the power you need to push that card. You are running a power amplifier with 20 rails may not be enough to push the card and that's why it's closing. I guess you may need a power supply with more amps per rail.

Thanks for the numerous replies and I found that there are different solutions which I need to try it out in order to solve the problem. Right now I am away from my computer so can’t try these out now. Well I have tested out the power supply unit before and it is working properly and also it is a new one which I have purchased. I also have installed a cooler onto my system in order to have a stable temperature. After having this my CPU cores are not getting more heated and it shows a balanced temperatures.

Re: System freezes when inactive on Phenom II X6

As soon as I arrived back to my home I first removed my GeForce 7600 graphic card and then used the onboard video card. I just observed that this card. The video card is much nearer to my south bridge. And my south and north bridges are moreover passive cooled, so both of them require space and a good air flow. And I finally found that graphic card is causing the problem. Now I installed all programs and can do anything I want without any problems. So thank a lot in order to solve the issue I think I would buy a new ATI Radeon graphic card for my computer.
