Is it worth to upgrade PC1066 RDRAM

I'm having an old Dell Dimension 8250 P4 2.6Ghz desktop with 256 mb of PC1066 RDRAM. I would like to know that is it worth buying a Gb of RAM, in order to speed up my system. Actually i would like to know that is it worth to upgrade PC1066 RDRAM on my pc? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct information on the above issue.

According to me, if your motherboard accepts it, then yes it will absolutely speed up your machine, especially if you are running Windows Xp on your machine or above. With 256 the system will be paging a lot more, as compare to physical memory it will be work very slow.
