Is this gaming pc "good" enough?

    Hi all,

I am in the market for a new PC. I would like to get a gaming PC, but I have close to 0 technical knowledge of how computer's and their components work, so obviously I wont build it myself. Here are the following components in the Gaming PC I plan to order from CyberpowerPC. Are these components "future proof?" Maybe for the next 4 or 5 or 6 years, in terms of being able to handle the latest games?

CASE: NZXT Beta Gaming Mid-Tower Case

    PSU: 700 watts

CASE FAN: Maximum Enemax 120MM Case Cooling Fans

    CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-950 3.06 GHz 8M L3 Cache LGA1366

COOLING FAN: Asetek Liquid CPU Cooling System (Extreme Cooling Performance + Extreme Silent at 20dBA)

    MOTHERBOARD: Asus P6T Intel X58 Chipset SLI/CrossFireX Mainboard Triple-Channel DDR3/1600 SATA RAID w/ eSATA, GbLAN, USB2.0, IEEE1394a, &7.1Audio

MEMORY: 12GB (2GBx6) DDR3/1600MHz Triple Channel Memory Module

    GPU: 2X ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB DDR5 PCI-Express Dual DVI-I & TVO

    HARD DRIVE: 1TB (1TBx1) SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD

SOUND CARD: Creative Labs SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio 24-BIT PCI Sound Card

    OS: Windows 7

In addition to my above questions, is this computer a good fit with itself? For example, are there certain parts I have that for some reason wouldn't work together or would hinder performance because they don't match well? Also, are the cooling fans/heat sinks or whatever good enough, or do I need better ones? Also, what is a data hard drive and should I get one too?

    Thanks for all your help!

it should be able to keep up for 4 years before you need to upgrade it, that's 4 years to read up on how to add components to your computer.

Computers are like an easy puzzle, though, as everything fits in in ONE way only.

In your case, I would choose to get a larger power supply, more like 800-850 watts to make absolutely sure that the 2 GPUs get enough juice. If money allows for it, you could get a 1 kW PSU. Too much is better than too little. Also make sure that the PSU is not from some noname brand, that can literally mean a slow death for your hardware

Both GPUs along with the watercooling system take a lot. The other reason for the larger PSU is future expansion.

another thing is the 1 TB harddrive. I never recommend having a harddrive that large by itself. If possible, you should get a 300-500 GB drive for OS and programs, while having the 1 TB drive for storage.
