ATI Mobility Modder compatible with Catalyst 10.1

Well I know what is the Mobility Modder but I would love have a short description on that so that I can have a clear view for that. Well about the issue. I have tried installing the Catalyst 10.1 and I have seen that there are some compatibility issues here. I have tried installing the Catalyst number of times but have always failed and hence have decided to leave that on the solution that I would get from here. Well I am sure that you all will help me with the installation. I think that the ATI should come into play by looking at the scenario here. Please guys let me know if I am right or if I am not then tell me the way by which I can have the following thing for me. Hope to see the reply soon.

Well to start with the ATI has already seen the issue before your post and let me tell you that they have decided to launch the update that is definitely going to help you all with the problem that you all are facing. They have noticed this and have decided to post an updated version for the same. The updated version will be hopefully in the position to handle the Catalyst 10.1. Also in addition to that I have also seen that with the release of the updated version they are also going to provide support for the 5000 series. Hope that they will come with this soon. By the time I can only suggest you to wait and see for the release of the new version. Hope that you will find my post somewhat helpful.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder compatible with Catalyst 10.1

You needed to have a short description on the Mobility Modder and I am here with the same. Actually Mobility Modder is basically a TOOL. It helps in keeping the GPU drivers updated. It does that automatically and without many issues. It is released by Driver Heavens. Actually when the user is new he finds it really difficult to find the updates or the updated drivers and here is when the Mobility Modder comes in play. Mobility Modder will search for the latest updates and will also install them so that you can enjoy all the latest features without getting troubled. Well I think that you will have to have a latest version of the Mobility Modder so that can be supported in your case. Well it is there on the official site and you will have that for free. Well have that and see if that makes difference to your situation there. Please let me know about the same.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder compatible with Catalyst 10.1

Well I was also having the similar issues with the installation of Catalyst 10.1 and I was also of the same opinion regarding the compatibility. Now from the above post I have two things one is to go with the latest version of the Mobility Modder and second is to wait for the updates, well I think I should give a try to the first one and will see if that can help me with the installation. If at all it did not do the favor then I will wait for the updates. Well it is really nice that the ATI has encountered the issue and has accepted this as an issue and has promised to come up with the solution. I would be happy if they can make that thing happen really fast. Please ATI come up with the same as soon as possible.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder compatible with Catalyst 10.1

To be fair I do not think that the ATI are going to come up with the updates at all. Actually the thing is that they really cannot. I am of the opinion that the laptop manufacturers actually do not want them to have this done and hence I think that is the core reason for the delay or ignorance. The marketing theme is that as soon as the Vendor ID is place inside the GPU hardware ID, the manufacturer sees the GPU as their product and then would not be happy at all if other drivers are used. It will only want to have the drivers that are manufactured by them. This all things have made me think that ATI will not at all be able to make the mobility drivers for the Mobility Radeon GPU’s. I am sure that they will not turn up soon and if that they would have then they might have come up with the same soon. Well I think that I have made the point of the delay much clear to you all. In addition to that if at all anyone of you find the latest one please let me know about the same.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder compatible with Catalyst 10.1

Well I think that you are wrong somewhere my dear friend. Well what you have said is partially true. All the things that you have said completely hold for the NON WINDOWS system. If the operating system that you are having on the laptop is the Windows 7 then you can have the mobility drivers for the GPU. I have seen it somewhere if you have the beta win7 drivers then you can have the things that you have decided to go with. Also I would also like to insert here that I have seen that there is direct co-operation between the ATI and DH keeping the Mobility Modder in mind and I think that they will definitely help us with the same. Well I am sure that they will soon follow with the updates.

Re: ATI Mobility Modder compatible with Catalyst 10.1

Well it is really sad to hear that you have problems in installing the Catalyst 10.1 for you. The Catalyst 10.1 has been released for Radeon HD 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000-series GPUs. With the Catalyst 10.1 they promise to give performance improvement in the Left 4 Dead 2 and the Crysis. In addition that they have also helped Firefox to work properly and play video normally. Well I am sure that you will have all these features soon. Well in addition to that did update the Catalyst Control Center. I think that updating that can help a bit with the situation that you are having at the moment. Please have the Catalyst Control Center updated and then let me know if the compatibility issue between the Mobility Modder and the Catalyst 10.1 was solved.
