    ATI Radeon HD4870 Crossfire Problem

Here I have a little problem I have to order parts for my new config and I realized that I have ordered a good one for my card ati sapphire 4870 1GB GDDR5: / Problem I believe that 2 bridge must be connected to a crossfire with two cards. AMD recently launched its new line of GPU ATI Radeon 4800. A particularly wide range expected at the turn and was composed up there not long ago two GPUs before the recent arrival of the Radeon HD 4870 X2. The first two GPUs that are already available in stores are nothing more than the Radeon HD 4850 and 4870. I am trying to crossfire in dual hd 4870. whenever i enable the crossfire and try playing games the game flickers. So please suggest........

Sounds like you installated the Catalyst control center. Without removing the existing drivers and all from the system and hence i would suggest you to run the CCleaner appplication once on your desktop this will help you to remove all the previous remove the formerly installed driver from your system and also Check the power supply whether is proper or not hence i would suggest you use a corsair 750watt or more heavy if your are running these cards.

The card meets the codename Spartan and therefore contains two chips 4870, for a total of 1600 stream processors. The operating frequency of the GPU is still to be defined, but AMD speak for a moment a theoretical power of 2.4 teraflops. It is already known, according to a confidential document and be integrated 2 x 1GB GDDR5 256-bit interfaced. The map will manage course CrossFire, but also an HDMI port that can carry, in addition to the image, a sound track on eight channels. The card will also manage the DisplayPort, but the reference model will contain only two DVI-I Dual Link. This will be the card manufacturers to decide whether or not a DisplayPort.

Re: ATI Radeon HD4870 Crossfire Problem

The advantage of CrossFire may sound interesting but not necessarily the case, and a CrossFire HD4850 is substantially the same results. Both the single card works wonders, approaching the GeForce GTX 260 in some applications, much interest in being a CrossFire HD4870 is less compelling than the face HD4850. Of course we must relativize the tests considering only the resolutions "playable" and not the estuaries 2560 1600. All this gives us an idea still on the HD4870X2. After so how did you fail, why not go directly to the very high end.

it will be necessary to use a power of 650 W for a system of embedding duo R700. If the price has not yet been apprehended, he speaks for the moment a card to more than $ 500. AMD has confirmed that the first sets of tests should go ashore during the first week of August for release in mid-August, exactly 12, but this date is yet set in stone.

Note the presence of a dual slot cooling system that resembles, at first sight, that were found on the Radeon 3870 X2 (see " ATI R680: the Rage Fury MAXX 2? "). The positioning of the fan is still a GPU should be less cool than the other and there is a risk of large temperature differences. Finally we note the presence of a PCI-Express 2.0 bridge just connect the two GPUs and is an improvement over PCI-Express 1.1 bridge which was loaded into the Radeon HD 3870 X2.

Re: ATI Radeon HD4870 Crossfire Problem

The HD4870 will surely lower the price of its availability will be important, I think in the 200 € (reasoning purely marketing) the 4850 should virtually no decline. And new drivers that support the 4800 really hoping that ATI may bp the idle temperature of 4850. Anyone know if the 4870 bp is mm
