Problem with my monitor or perhaps video card...

This is what my monitor shows every so often. It stays like this until we turn the computer off. Don't have a clue what it is.

In picture i can see your computer case at right side and close to your monitor so first take away that there may be some interference due to that but as there is blue and purple color distraction better to visit service center

i had a problem like that with a tv and i was told by a technician to put it on blue screen and run a powerful magnet over it because the pixals can get out of alignment from moving the monitor around.

Don't try this with magnet, won't help you with LCD, oly works with CRT screens, I think it's video card problem, but do you have any friends, see your monitor picture at their computer, and their monitor at yours computer. tha's the easiest way to see what's wrong
