Logitech HD Webcam c270h won't display image

Hello everyone. Please help me solving my query. I just purchased Logitech HD Webcam c270h to use it in my 64-bit Windows 7 running computer. I installed the webcam in my computer and tried to use it. But while, I was trying to use the following, I realized that it wasn’t working at all. Like, neither the mic of the webcam will respond nor I am able to see any images while trying to use the webcam. Can anyone help me in solving the issue? Any kind of help will be appreciated.

You should most probably uninstall the currently installed setup for your Logitech HD Webcam c270h in your computer. You can uninstall it by using the normal uninstallation from the Add/Remove programs or you can even use any third party uninstaller in order to uninstall the webcam. Once you are done uninstalling, restart your system. Install the webcam after rebooting your PC. Make sure that you are following all the instructions as asked while installing. At the end of installation the setup will ask you to connect your webcam and will show the status. Make sure that you are able to use you mic and can view the image as well.

Third-party software like CCleaner or TuneUp Utilities can be used to successfully remove all files and folders, including the registry files related to the Logitech HD Webcam c270h. And for installing the setup file, you should use the original drivers CD of Logitech HD Webcam c270h which you might have received with your webcam. Make sure that the USB port to which you are connecting your device is working well. You should try connecting the webcam to some other USB port and check whether it is getting detected properly or not.

Such kind of issue might also arise if there is some kind of compatibility issue between any webcam and any other application which you have installed in your system. So, first you should make sure that there is no such issue like this. If you find anything affecting the normal functioning of your webcam, then most probably you will have to disable/remove that application or process for sometime when you are installing the drivers for your webcam.

The drivers which you are installing might be corrupt. So you should use another setup file to install the drivers for your Logitech HD Webcam c270h in your 64 bit Windows 7 running system. So, I would recommend you to visit the official website of Logitech and download fresh drivers for your Logitech HD Webcam c270h. Make sure that you are selecting the right version of Windows Operating system for which you are downloading the drivers.
