Image Problem Logitech webcam

I have trouble LOGITECH while connecting to SKYPE that 4 images of the same person clearly in HORIZONTAL, is configured correctly because when I am not in SKYPE works well, I have reviewed IN AS THE computer store where the purchase and have not yielded to the problem, I got the latest version Logitech and updated SKYPE . Do I have to find for a good configuration ...

I upgraded to version 3.6, the operating system I have is
Windows XP, do I have to update it as well? Do not lose data?
