Lite-On vs. Plextor Blu-ray disc writers

I was here when I decided to pay for my older Pioneer DVD recorder. At the time I read a lot of criticism, but I could not prefer between Pioneer and Lite-On drives. Now I'm here for the same question, to the authors of Blu-Ray. I have read lots of reviews and found the two best discs for burning Blu-Ray are Plextor PX-LB950SA iHBS112 and Lite-On. But what is the real dissimilarity among these two products? I mean, when I bought my DVD recorder, you told me that Lite-on drives were better in reading and Pioneer were better in writing. So I chose the Pioneer unit because I needed a better performance in writing. So, in your opinion, what is the best? Lite-On or Plextor? What is the real difference between the two discs? Is there another unit that is better? Do you suggest waiting a few months and buying a new generation unit that could be released soon?

BluRay burners are the best there is-206M Pioneer BDR, BDR and BDR-206-205 also known as the Plextor PX-B940SA. You may also want to take a look at the LG 10x/12x burners. In addition, the Plextor PX-LB950SA is actually a rebadged Lite-On iHBS212. Also, Sony Optiarc BD-5300 and BWU-500S is iHBS112 rebadged. Plextor no longer manufactures its own units of time ago. All recent rebadged Plextor drives usually sold at a price much higher than the new one.

You seem very convinced. Are you basing this on their own results with LG BH10LS30 against a Pioneer BDR-206? Personally, I have not found a single medium that can burn my 206 and my WH10LS30. Verbs, Sony, Panasonic, and Falcon (TDK) all the analysis a bit cleaner that comes from my LG. The Pio 206 is definitely a burner arrangement as is iHBS112 media with good quality. My fear is that he is basing his opinion on the performance of the 205 is. If you ask me, the 206 is anything but that.

Pioneer does the same with your DVD-RW and BD, but only uses chipset, back in the era of DVD-RW NEC, and Renesas now to BD. The rest are designed by the pioneer, but when it comes to units sold Pioneer BD discs renamed others, and firmware support is actually pretty good usually compatible with discs of two generations ago. From the firmware, you can see that they release a number of firmware on supporting the active life of the unit. Pioneer has released several firmware updated to the 206 already. It seems that the lack of support is a problem. I think the LG to be a good option. Today is my best writer and fast ripper. Even when I said "a little cleaner," it really meant a little. A new firmware version and a small improvement in recording quality for the 206 could certainly change that. I would not try to dissuade him from buying one if the price was right. I wonder what kind of recording / reading you want this for. If it is data, I guess the new 100GB BDXL may be an interesting option. I suspect it will take a while, even if prices drop media to match the GB of the current BD-R.

Well, they have many graphics Opti-burning unit. Compare it with the Lite-on model. After burning the graphs, you decided to get the Lite-On, and in general was better in the BD burning, but with fewer errors. The BDR-206M uses a different chipset to the previous BDR-206 series. Like any review, these results are still only one which would still be useful to look at the issues relevant to most real-life examples and burning of scans performed with different units and scanning speeds before making a final decision. In addition, scans were performed at 2 xs, which is very low indeed. I rather prefer to see some scans of higher speed such as 4x or 6x scans preferably "standard" or perhaps even the 8x scans. The good behavior might show different.
