Not able to take color print from Dell 3000cn with Mac OS

I am having Mac operating system on my computer and I have taken Dell 3000cn printer. I have properly attached my printer to my computer. When I was taking print from my printer then I was able to take black and white printing and when I tried to print color printout then my printer was not taking prints in color. I have connected my printer over a network and I don’t know what the actual cause for this problem is. So someone help me out in order to solve the color printout issue.

I guess that certain steps need to be followed while considering Dell 3000cn printer with Mac operating system. First of all you need to download hpijs driver from Mac OS website. Then you need to search for ESP ghost script from the same site and download it. After this install these both drivers and add a LPD printer and then you have to select HP color LaserJet printer. This would work with your Dell printer driver then you would be able to print the same.

You need to install the drivers as mentioned above and you would be able to print from your Dell LaserJet printer. If still you are not able to print in color then you need to change particular settings of your printer. So just check whether Dell printer has been set to color, because sometimes I guess it has been set to black and white and thus you are able to take only the black and white print out from your printer. So try to change your print settings.

You need to do some settings on your printer, just start your printer and you have to do some settings on printer screen so that everything is right from printer settings. Just verify that your printer is not just set to black and white printing. If so change it to color mode by navigating to some commands from your printer menu settings. If this doesn’t solve the problem then you can try reinstalling all your drivers and then check for the same again.

You have to install the updated drivers of the printer to your computer. When you try to install the drivers then in network environment you need to set an IP address of the print server wherever you are installing the printer. Once you set the printer in any computer then take the IP of that computer and then enter this IP in all the computers from where you want to take the printer. In your case I think that you haven’t set the correct IP of printer server and therefore there would be some problem in it.
