mouse is not working properly in the Asus P8P67

Hello friends, I am facing certain issue in the mouse that I am using and which I had brought recently. The motherboard that I have is Asus P8P67, and the operating system that is present is windows 7, ever since I had connected the mouse to the motherboard it is working in a weird way, the mouse pointer is always been dragging toward the left of the screen, also I have a tuff time in selecting anything in the monitor because only half of the thing is been selected and half is not, sometime it do not work also, so I just wanted to know how to overcome this problem. The mouse that I am using right now is Microsoft laser 5000 mouse.

Hello there, I think the main thing is the version of the bios that is present in the motherboard, this new version is not been compatible or it is creating the problem in the mouse to work properly. Did you cleared the CMOS of the motherboard, to do that in the motherboard there is a notch that you have turn to the other side, after removing the power cord of the power supply, once you have done that then press the power button for some time to drain off the current from the capacitor, once you have done that then place the notch to the normal position where it was previously, once you have done this then the cmos will be cleared and then try to restart the computer and check if the problem is been present or not.

I too was facing this kind of the problem in the bios, whenever I started the computer it was working fine and then it was taking the mouse pointer toward the left of the screen, when the error of the blue screen of death would occur then it would create an error and it would take the mouse toward the left hand side, also the over clocking issue was present in the recent days, I even tries to clear the cmos as per the thing what was told in the above post and also checked the bios setting in the computer but it was not working properly.

Hey did you tried changing the way the mouse is been connected to the cabinet that is not a normal way, since I had a wireless keyboard present and it was not working, but when I tried going deeper in the windows I saw that the windows was displaying that the keyboard and the mice is been connected to the system. But the fact is the mouse was not connected to the system I was only handling the work with the help of the keyboard, but I was not able to connect to the computer.

Hello there, I just went through the problem, did you try changing the drivers that was present in the system I think that the driver which were provided to you when you had buy the device that you are using right now, also try to download the proper version of the driver of the mouse from the internet so that if this is the problem then it will be eliminated from the system, also try to scan the computer with the help of the antivirus and see to it that you have the presence of the utility that will help you clear the registry if any of the error is been present in it.
