Windows 7 not loading from external hard drive

I am not able to boot windows 7 from my western digital external hard drive, this is encountering a problem when I tried to boot the OS version form there in the last night. It appears a blank screen with during loading eth windows 7. Though without connect the drives in booting fine, I am also having another western digital hard drive, where the same operating system is loaded. Is there any one having any suggestion for me o resolve this issue, I can’t understand why this problem occurring.

As for the first recommendation for the solution of the problem that you posted here, I suggest you to check whether the external had drive is connected properly. Though the OS is loading perfectly with the other hard drive, then I don’t think the problem is for the OS. You need to check first the connectivity along with this also e sure that the hard drive is working fine with the other functionality. Apart from that you need to check the OS installed disc from where you installed into your hard drive. =the disc might be corrupted for that the OS is not loading.

According to I was also facing relevant type of problem, release the connection with the internal hard driver in your system and plug only the external drive, now go to the device manager and from there check the status of the connected external drive, if this showing correct then simply don’t apply any tricks reboot your system and replug the drive, the OS will load. I had similar issue, at that time I was thought that the problem might be occurring for the OS platform. I simply tried to resolve this regarding the Operating system, but not get relief from the problem. After that when I tried to do another process from my external hard drive, I found there is a problem in the connectivity. I replug the drive and the OS starts loading. Beside this if the problem is a minor one then some times by reboot the system, problem might be overcome.

As per my opinion I would like to suggest you to format the drive where you installed the operating system, the problem might be in that drive. Connect the hard drive into your system and right click on the partition of the drive where the OS is loaded, select the format option and wait till it completes. Now go for the fresh installation and check whether this time the problems I persists or not. I hope this technique will surely help you to overcome from the problem.

I was also facing relevant type of problem in my system, the windpo0ws vista was also not booting from my external hard drive, after that when I did a research on this issue, I found a solution I applied that and easily overcome from the problem. but before applying this first of all recommend you to check the hard drive connectivity, along with this also be sure that the OS is properly installed into the hard drive, if this does not installed properly then simply go for the fresh installation that is mentioned in the above post. But if there is no issue with the installation then unplug the external drive, now click on start your system completely with that external drive and choose the system repair option form the system tool menu option. Wait till it completes and then reboot your system, if there is any issue with the internal hardware devices then this will resolve this.

The problem might also be happening for the change the order and priority. Boot your system with the internal hard drive and after appear the complete boot then plug your external drive into the system. check the metal oxide semiconductor setting in your system and also in the hard drive. I was also experienced with this problem after that i also searched and found the problem is occurring for the priority change , I change the CMOS setting and the external hard drive starts working, so try this technique, it will hopefully help you.

There is a problem that I am facing with my recently purchased 500 GB western digital external hard drive. Whenever I plug this one into my windows vista compatible Dell PC, the screen graphics scattered. The partitions and also the other contents under the hard drive are showing perfectly and I also be able to access them. But the graphics keeps scattered. If I unplug that one there is no problem with the graphical interface. Then why this only occurring with the external hard drive, any idea on this issue?

Is there any graphics program or any visual effect is installed or applied in your external hard drive? though the problem is only occurred when the hard drive is plugged then I think this is completely occurring for the hard drive, to ensure this one plug the hard drive into any other system and check whether the problem is arriving or not. if there is no issue then simply proceed for reload the graphics driver in your system, for that run the installation program and from the starting window select the existing remove option, this will automatically install the fresh driver after remove the earlier one. Try this, if there is any issue with the system inbuilt graphical interface then this solution will surely works.
