Windows 7 64 bit, canon scanner interface not opening

I recently upgrade my systems operating system from vista 64 bit to windows 7 64 bit system architecture, almost maximum of the application are running correctly with this new version, but the only problems is that, the scanner is not working with this new architecture. I am having a canon scanner, I am using the Compaq Presario desktop computer, whenever I open eth scanner launching interface it shows a pop up error message window, where the scanner stopped working is flashing. I am not a technical person, can’t understand what I should do now to resolve this. Is there anyone having any idea on this?

As per my knowledge regarding this type of problem, I recommend you to reload the scanner software, for this first of all remove the existing one and also remove the other scanner installed files from the windows folders. Though you recently upgrade the OS environment so might be any of the installed files is not running properly, for this the problem is occurring, this is quite minor problem. no need to worry about this, simply go through this, your problem will surely resolved.

First of all make sure that the scanner driver is compatible with the operating system version that you are using in your system. I think the driver version is not compatible with the new system architecture. Whereas I was also facing relevant type of problem, after when I searched for the solution I found that all of the vista compatible hardware drivers are not support the windows 7 hardware device driver, so in your problem this happens then you need to download the scanner driver from the developer web site which should be compatible with the current system architecture.

I am totally agree with the above post, but if this does not happening with you then I would like to suggest you to try once by reload the scanner driver, if the driver is compatible with the OS version that you are using, then there might be any other cause for this the driver reload process might be help you to overcome from the problem. Insert the driver installation disc and run the installation process, at the beginning it will ask you to remove the existing version and will direct you to remove all of the setting of the scanner that you made, do this and terminate the reinstallation process wait till it directs you to reboot your system.

I am also facing some of the peculiar type of and also other scanning problem in my windows vista system. sometimes it does not detects also not scan properly, beside that sometimes the scanner interface is stopped working during the scanning process running, along with also this creating many of the connectivity problem, though it was running fine till the last date but these type of problem stars occurring in very recently. To resolve these I tried a lot of tricks, but nothing helped me, along with also tried the above mentioned process, these was also no helped me. So now there is only one option, to change the scanner. So I am here for getting any information regarding the best scanner with all advanced featured.
