E-machine T2984 not booting well

I have a E-machine T2984 desktop and it is been installed with Windows Xp. The problem is that I am not able to boot the system. I had 512 MB Ram and now I upgraded to 1 GB and the system is not able to boot. I do not know what could have caused the issue. Please do help so that I can process with the system well and make it to function.

There is a possibility through which you can make the system to start well. All you need to do is to disconnect the complete devices from the system and as it is been done just plug the power cord and then check whether you are able to get a beep sound when the system is powered.
