usb modem cousing monitor flicker

hello,

when ever i plug the usb from the modem,

the monitor starts flickering any ideas why?

it was happening before, when i was using win xp,

but i had lower resolution so it wasn't kinda noticeable.

i am afraid it might mess up some other stuff, any help appreciated.

Does your modem is being kept near monitor if yes then keep it away from your monitor, because modem is sending some rays which causes your monitor to flicker and at the same time try to connect your modem on another system and have a check for the same if you are facing same issue then there is some problem with your modem

nope that doesn't fix the problem, i tried the modem with a lap top and it works fine. I think its something with the refresh rate, coz when i put on 1152x864 resolution with 75 refresh rate it works fine, but since i work with photo shop and illustrator i need higher like 1280 x 1024 and i can only set the refresh rate at 60 and it flickers.. guess it has to do with the monitor
