Front panel audio on Asus P5N-D

Motherboards: ASUS P5N-D, BIOS update
Processor: E7600 3.06GHz
2 + 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz ram (6400)
8800gt graphics card in SLI 512MB DDR3 256 bit
cool master cpu fan
Master HAF922 cool box.
vista 32 bit premium

Here is my worry:

My HAF922 box has an input microphone and headphone front, and I can not find the location for the plug on my motherboard. Could you tell me how to install for this to work?

It's years since I had used any discrete sound card, so my suggestions wouldn't be worth for you. It is recommended to plug your front panel connectors into your sound card and not the motherboard? Have you connected the front panel output to the relevant pins on the motherboard?

Well I tried, I connected the AC'97, is there a "trick" that enables this in the bios? But its not working yet! I have read the motherboard manual, my confusion is case manual had different labels for motherboard pins and showed case connections as individual wires and my actual case has all wires in a single connector.

In the bios, you should enable the front panel audio to enable the setting. It was a BIOS issue. It was set to HD audio. Changing it to AC97. Even I have the same box, but there is no concern for any connections.
