After entering in to sleep mode (stand by) my hp laptop won't wake up, I have to hold the power down and shut it down and restart it. Does anyone know what causes this issue and how to fix it?Any help will be extremely appreciated.

Windows xp desktops has different power management needs, options and configurations. First click on the start icon > power options > change advanced power settings > check the proper settings in allow the computer to sleep.
1.Ctrl Panel
2. Display Properties
3.Screen Saver.
4. Change Power settings
5. Choose 'Never'.
6. Remember to click 'OK'.
