Well I use Microsoft Trackball Explorer. It uses Microsoft Optical Technology. Optical technology delivers superior tracking speed, precise cursor movement, and accuracy. It is Mac-compatible. The rectangular Universal Serial Bus (USB) plug connects to a Windows-based or Macintosh computer, and the included IntelliType Pro keyboard software comes in both Windows and Mac OS versions.
If you have a small netbook would you not mean a large mouse awkward size. The Evergreen USB Mini Trackball mouse is very small but still has everything you need to work. The track ball is about as big as that of a BlackBerry , there are buttons for left and right and a scroll button. The USB cable is longer and shorter for extra mobility.
Kensington SlimBlade Trackball Mouse is a good mouse. The trackball gives you control even when there's no room to move a mouse, then switches to mouse mode with the push of a button. Bluetooth connectivity offers up to 30 feet of range and doesn't use up a USB port.
