I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place... I know there were a few things posted about it before but I have a specific question stemming from that.
I would like to know how to disable the Add/Remove Programs function, I am using Windows XP. There was one that said:
The problem is there is not \Policies or \Policies\Uninstall in there. I even tried to make them myself, and the Add/Remove function was still there after I restarted my system.1. Start Registry Editor (Start > Run > “regedit”)
2. Disable Current User: In the left panel, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Uninstall
3. Disable All Users: In the left panel, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Uninstall
4. Create a new DWORD value named NoAddRemovePrograms
5. Set the value to 1 to disable Add/Remove Programs
6. Set the value to 0 to re-enable Add/Remove Programs
Is there any way I can do this without having that? All I have in the \CurrentVersion is about Internet Options. Also, is it possible to just hide a certain program off the Add/Remove Programs list?
Thanks for any help.
