    List of standard fonts

    Hello Good morning everybody

    I'm looking for a resource listing with the standard fonts that come with your basic Windows PC.Right now i got some collections,but hard to remember what is special, and which one is standard.I mean what I can expect a garden variety web visitor to have installed.Additionally, if anyone knows of a good reference for finding approximate matches between standard PC fonts and Mac fonts please share it with me

    thanks !!

    CSS can offer you to modify the default fonts chosen by the browser venders to a font that is deep in maintaining with your brand, your style. But you can't be sure that everyone who views your page will see your fonts if you select a font like "Goudy Stout" or "Kunstler Script".I've seen the list, but can't remember where. In the meantime, a good freeware font manager, X-Fonter, highlights the original Windows system fonts if you ask it to do so in the program's preferences.

    Re: List of standard fonts

    I know some of the really basic fonts for the mac that correspond to windows font software
    mac- pc
    helvetica - arial
    courier - courier new
    times - times new roman
    Usually zero up writing pages for "serif" or "non-serif" fonts. So i would code:<font face="Times New Roman,Georgia,Times,Palatino,serif">
    else
    <font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Tahoma,sans-serif">
    there are other generic font choices such as, "cursive", "fantasy" or "monospace".In the mean time you can check out some offerings from Microsoft for both mac. these are in addition to the regular, included ol' system fonts.
