Since past 2 days my server is generating an error message saying “The Group Policy client-side extension Internet Explorer zonemapping failed to execute.” Yesterday I enabled the UserEnv Log and found the following events listed:

USERENV(179c.1554) 14:52:11:958 ReadGPExtensions: Rsop entry point not found for dskquota.dll.
USERENV(179c.1554) 14:52:11:958 ReadGPExtensions: Rsop entry point not found for gptext.dll.
USERENV(179c.1554) 14:52:11:958 ReadGPExtensions: Rsop entry point not found for iedkcs32.dll.
USERENV(179c.1554) 14:52:11:958 ReadGPExtensions: Rsop entry point not found for scecli.dll.
USERENV(179c.1554) 14:52:11:958 ReadGPExtensions: Rsop entry point not found for C:\WINDOWS\System32\cscui.dll.

Do someone here has any idea about these errors ?

As far as i know these error messages occurs when the computer doesn't have permissions to read the gPLink attribute. Hence you need to check and correct the permissions first. Reply back if you need any more help.

Thank youi very much for the help and info EltonJ. Can you also please let me know how can I view and change the required permissions on the gPLink attribute?

Here is how you need to do it. First go to ADUC, click View, click Advanced View and then open up properties of the OU above the objects in question. Now go to security tab to check the permissions settings. Make sure to use the effective permissions.
