Dual screen: Video Game + Video => Bug!

I have a little problem with my installation dual screen.
Here is a summary of my config ':
    AMD x2 3800 +
    2GB RAM DDR 400
    256MB GeForce 7950GT PCIe
Two LCD: LG Flatron L1953TR-SF (absolutely identical)

    Here's the problem:
When I play a game in full screen and I try to watch a video on the screen ... The window that contains the video gets dark (I tested with winamp, VLC, Windows Media Player ... )
I said that the bug does not happen when I played with a game in windowed mode (but all games do not offer this option)

    Thank you in advance!

PS: For those who wonder what may well serve to play on a screen and a video on the screen, I propose this explanation:
While I'm playing a game on one screen, I cut the sound of this game on the screen 2 my girlfriend is able to watch a video

Tests by reducing hardware acceleration in the player options.
As against, if it works, it may slightly increase the CPU load

Beeeh not that I do not want but I can point!

Or is this kind of option?
I watched as Winamp and under VLC and I find nothing!

Seriously, if anyone knows how we define what is projected overlay video ... bah ... I do a kiss

I had a similar problem: A laptop + video projector.

VLC read the film on the PC but it was not displayed on the wall. There was a check box / uncheck, I do not know, precisely on the overlay.

I can not say more worry, I do not support VLC, it was not my PC, but there is this option

With Windows Media Player, there are quite a few settings in the options, Performance tab.

There are already managing the hardware acceleration (to test), and part Advanced which includes useful features

I will unfortunately not bring you a solution to this problem because, with a DualScreen, I came to roughly the same conclusion as you: everything depends games and video (film or TV) .. . let returns on Windows (after an "Alt + Tab" for example) which often gives a black screen (with or without sound, it depends on the time) in the window where was the film or TV.

As against, I have noticed that there was also a report with the CPU: Unable to play while watching TV with a SingleCore. As against, with a DualCore it's much better (I do not know with a QuadCore, I have not yet had the opportunity to test).

Finally, I would also be interested to know what happens in Linux or MacOS.

PS: I failed the overlay in Windows Media Player 11 but can be activated in VLC in the video options

So here's how this config ':
Two identical screens: LG 19 "1953TR-SF
    Video card: ATI HD4850 512Ram
OS (apparently this is important!): Vista 64, I think it does not work in XP (but I have not tested)
    Driver: latest date

For this to work requires a similar resolution at any point, for example:
    1280 x 1024 x 32bits @ 60Hertz

The refresh rate is important! You must have the same on both screens (it is set through the 'graphics properties').

Then when you want to play and watch a movie apparently must run the film in the 1st and the game then.

    So we summarizes:

    1. Having the same resolutions on both screens
    2. Start video (regardless of the drive, setting any specific)
    3. Launch video game
